A DWELLING FINDERS INITIATIVE

Some days,
you just need
someone.

Feeling alone, unsure of who you are, or as though you don’t quite belong can hurt. You don’t need the right words to be heard here. Every gender, identity and background is welcome.

A little less alone. A little more able to face tomorrow.

About the rooms ↗

A PLACE TO BE HEARD

You can start
with one sentence.

Talk about loneliness, identity, feeling left out, or whatever is weighing on you. You choose what to share. Natasha is an AI companion, not a therapist or emergency service.

This conversation stays in this page’s memory and is cleared when you leave or choose Clear. It is not added to your account or housing history. Please leave out names, addresses and other identifying details.

Find support in your country ↗

You do not have to prove that things are hard. There is room to start where you are.

01 / START WHERE YOU ARE

How are you
holding up?

No score. No labels. Just a moment to notice what you need. This check-in isn’t saved by Dwelling Finders.

02 / FIND YOUR PEOPLE

A little company.
A place to belong.

Public peer rooms and private invitation rooms are open any time. Adults 18+ only. Automated checks review messages; a human moderator is not always present. These rooms offer company, not therapy or emergency care.

PUBLIC PEER ROOMS

Come as you are

Join a small group using a generated alias. Listen, share a little, or offer a kind word.

  • Up to 12 people in each room
  • English, on-topic messages only
  • New arrivals can read the active room history
  • Leaving removes your own messages

PRIVATE PEER ROOMS

Just the two of you

Create a room and share its invitation code with someone you trust, outside this site. This does not connect you to a listener.

  • Two participants, using generated aliases
  • The same English and conduct rules apply
  • Either person leaving deletes the whole chat

WHEN AN APPROVED LISTENER IS ONLINE

A conversation with a listener

Private peer-listener conversations are offered from 9:45–10:45 pm EAT when a listener is available. Peer rooms above work independently of this service.

Room rules, so everyone can take part

Write in English and stay with the room’s topic. Imperfect grammar, names and respectful discussion of every identity are welcome. No harassment, hate, sexual solicitation, graphic harm, advertising, links or contact details. Report a message to hide it from your view and flag it for review. Automated checks can make mistakes; reports may wait until a moderator is available.

Chats stay available for reference while the room is active. Peer rooms last up to one hour, with a 15-minute limit without messages. Disconnected members are cleared after two minutes on the next server check. Keep this page open to stay in the room. No permanent transcript is saved.

CONNECTION WITHOUT PRESSURE

A little more
room to belong.

Loneliness and uncertainty about identity can be part of distress. They are not the only explanation, and needing support does not mean there is something wrong with who you are.

01 ♡

When you feel alone

Start with one safe connection, rather than a whole new social life. A short message, a regular shared activity or a moderated peer group can be enough for a first step. If nobody comes to mind, external support is still an option.

02 ◎

When identity feels uncertain

You can explore who you are without rushing into a label. Look for people who respect your name, pronouns, culture and boundaries. You decide whether it feels safe to disclose anything. Belonging should not require hiding yourself.

Put it into your own words ↑

Build connection at your pace

Try observing a moderated group around something you enjoy before joining in. Ask about accessibility, cost and community rules first. Repeated, low-pressure contact can be a starting point. If daily life is becoming difficult, professional care can help too.

NO NEED TO SOLVE EVERYTHING TODAY

For now,
just be here.

Feel the surface beneath you. Notice something you can see, something you can hear, and something you can feel. There’s no right way to do this.

03 / HERE, EVEN AFTER HOURS

Something to
come back to.

A small starting shelf, available any time. We’ll add more resources as this community grows.

WHEREVER YOU ARE

Human support,
closer to you.

Peer rooms offer company. For other kinds of support, look for a service in your country, language and preferred contact method.

IF THIS MOMENT FEELS UNSAFE

Please reach for immediate help.

If you might act on thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, go to the nearest emergency department or contact local emergency services. If possible, ask a trusted person to stay with you. Please don’t wait for our listening hour.

CARE STARTS WITH HONESTY

Your story
belongs to you.

Born from the founder’s lived experience, this is a space being built with care for people who are trying to get through the day.

A vision by Dwelling Finders.
Built with assistance from OpenAI’s Codex.

How private is a private room?

A private peer room accepts two browser sessions using its secret invitation code. Anyone holding an unused code can claim the second place, so share it carefully. Authorized community moderators can review peer rooms and reports. An approved listener can access only their assigned listener conversations. Messages are encrypted in storage, not end-to-end. The service, moderation provider and hosting operators process data. Never share passwords, IDs, addresses or financial details.

What does “anonymous” mean here?

No name or account is required to join. Other participants see a generated alias. The hosting service may process technical connection information such as IP addresses in access logs. We cannot promise complete anonymity or prevent another participant from taking screenshots.

When do messages disappear?

Peer rooms last at most one hour; listener rooms end by 10:45 pm EAT. All rooms end after 15 minutes without messages. Leaving a private room deletes the entire room. Leaving a public room deletes your own messages; the last person leaving deletes the room. After two minutes without a room heartbeat, the server applies the same departure rules on its next check. Closing a tab attempts immediate departure, but delivery is not guaranteed. Server checks and the scheduled cleanup remove expired data. Reports and membership records expire with the room. There is no permanent reference archive. Deleted messages may still exist in screenshots, hosting backups or provider records.

How does Natasha use what I share?

The check-in offers human support based on what you choose to share about duration and daily life. It does not diagnose, assign a risk score, or track you across visits. Optional AI suggestions and conversations use Groq only with your consent; they are separate from room moderation. Room moderation sends each custom message to Groq for a publication check, without room history or account details. For conversation mode, your message and up to eight preceding messages are sent. AI responses can miss context or make mistakes, and keyword checks cannot reliably recognize every emergency. Use immediate support whenever you need it. Provider retention follows its privacy policy. If you say you feel unsafe, we show urgent support immediately without sending that check-in to AI.

Will a mentor contact me or meet me?

Only if you ask a listener and agree on the next step together. The service does not automatically send your answers, identity or location to a mentor. An approved peer listener can discuss possible next steps; the site does not offer a clinical-provider directory or book in-person appointments. A mentor offers companionship and practical support, while diagnosis and treatment belong with qualified professionals.

What if I’m under 18?

The chat rooms are for adults. You can still read the resources. Consider talking with a trusted adult or a qualified health professional, especially if getting through the day feels difficult. If you feel unsafe, seek immediate help.

You don’t have to carry all of it alone.
